The staff ghosts should be your last segment of "playing the game" before you get into the nitpicks of certain miscellaneous achievements or grinding stickers and mods. Staff Ghosts (160-168 Total): You do not need to beat all 160-168 ghosts for completion, but you do need to beat the expert ghost on each non-mirrored track in the game (excluding the OutRun DLC track) for a specific achievement. You will unlock two characters through the grand prix and the rest through World Tour. The roster here is pretty odd but is thankfully far more diverse than Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing. You obviously don't have to buy Metal Sonic, but he technically exists.
#SONIC AND SEGA ALL STARS RACING VIDEOS UPDATE#
You start out with 10 of them and earn Alex Kidd immediately after an update (he was once locked to absurd restrictions), and the last is Metal Sonic from the Metal Sonic & OutRun DLC. Practice makes perfect.Ĭharacters (24-25 Total): There are 24 characters in the base game. Due to these events having different rules, most of World Tour is harder than just finishing normal races. Now that you have Expert difficulty unlocked, you can start World Tour with the ability to play through it on Expert instead of unlocking it later and having to redo everything. World Tour (232 Stars): There are exactly 232 stars in this mode. Completing these five on any difficulty will unlock Expert difficulty in general, and finishing all 10 grand prix in first place on Expert will give you a particular achievement.
Finishing the first five grand prix (start on Easy) will unlock five mirror versions of these, which flip the tracks so left is right and vice versa. Grand Prix (Expert 1st Place): You will have to complete everything in this mode. Remember that characters have levels and unlocking mods during the first phases will help in the long run. Here's the list of your goals, in order of priority, and how you ought to do things.
